The Golf Assembly Privacy Policy

Information used by The Golf Assembly
The Golf Assembly stores your phone number and, for email accounts, email address for account authentication; profile names and nicknames; tour membership; event registrations, teams and scores; rounds; uploaded photos; notification preferences; device push tokens and installation identifiers; and message delivery status. We use this information to provide the app, protect accounts, calculate golf statistics, and deliver requested communications. Our hosting and communications providers may process technical logs needed to operate these services.
Who can see your information
Tour members can see tour player profiles and event information. Personal rounds marked public are visible to members of shared tours. Tour owners and managers administer their tours. App administrators can access information needed to support and operate The Golf Assembly. When a tour owner publishes a tour page, its published golf information can be viewed by anyone with the link.
Service providers
We use Supabase for database, account authentication and storage, Vercel for hosting, Twilio for text delivery, and Apple Push Notification service for iPhone alerts. They process information necessary to provide those services.
Mobile information and consent
We do not sell or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties, except with service providers necessary to deliver the messaging service. Signing in by verification code does not subscribe you to optional tour or event notifications.
iPhone notifications
If you allow push notifications, we associate an Apple device token and installation identifier with your account to deliver the alerts you select. Lock-screen alerts do not include detailed event information. Manage push categories or disable alerts in Notification preferences, or use iPhone Settings. Push delivery records and inactive device registrations are removed after 90 days by our scheduled cleanup. Notifications already delivered to your phone may remain visible until you clear them.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, control round visibility, and manage optional texts at SMS preferences. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from event texts. Account verification codes are requested separately when signing in. Request permanent account deletion in Account settings. Requests are completed within 7 days after reviewing shared tour ownership and associated content. We confirm completion using your verified account contact. You do not need to email or call support to initiate deletion. Contact us for access or correction requests.
Message delivery records
When you opt in to event texts, we use your verified number to send updates through Twilio. Delivery records are retained for up to 90 days to investigate failures; consent records are retained to document your choices. We do not use these records for advertising tracking.
